Q: How much is registration for 2008?
A:
$70 per child
Q: What does the registration fee pay for?
A: Your child's jersey, shorts and sock, the insurance that covers them during practice and play, and a trophy at the end of the year.
Q: What do I need for my child to play?
A: Shin guards that cover most of the area between the top of the child's shoe to the bottom of the knee. A size 3 ball for ages 4-7 (U5, U6 and U8), size 4 for ages 8-9 (U10 and U12), size 5 for ages 10 and up (U14 and U19). The players may play in soccer cleats (missing the front toe cleat) or athletic shoes. We do recommend for the U19 players always wear cleats.
Q: What if my child gets injured?
A: Our coaches and referees are trained in basic first aid for players. PLEASE do not ever rush onto the field, you could be injured or injure someone. The coach and/or referee will attend your child and assist them off the field or if they should not be moved appropriate action will be taken. Also AYSO has supplemental insurance that may help you if your insurance does not cover all the costs if you need to take your child to a doctor or hospital.
Remember, soccer is a contact sport and while we do everything we can to prevent accidents, injuries can happen.
Q: What do the coaches and referees get paid?
A: Our salary is huge, it is a big 'ol ZERO. We are all volunteers. The people who help mark the fields, the referees, the board members and every soccer coach and assistant coach. We all do it for the love of our kids and the love of soccer.
Q: What does AYSO mean?
A: American Youth Soccer Organization, one of the oldest and most organized youth soccer organizations in the United States.
Q: Can I get a refund if my player doesn't play?
A: All refund requests must be made in writing and will be considered by the board. Include parent name, address and child's name and reason for refund request. If you child has attended a practice and/or received a uniform, no refund shall be issued.
Q: How much is sponsorship?
A: $250 for one sponsor or $135 if 2 sponsors.
Q: What do we get for sponsoring a team?
A: Sponsorship money helps pay for field use, new equipment, balls for games and practice, porta potties, field use, tournament fees, etc.
Q: What is the benefit of sponsoring?
A: When the teams report the statistics and we put them in the newspaper their sponsor's name is included, the sponsor's name is on the banner and we also include the sponsor's name and a link to their website (if they have one) on our website to help with advertising. We are non-profit and your donation may be tax-deductible.
